THE RUNNING SHOE RESEARCH BOOK

Running is painful, tedious, rigorous and exhausting. So, why do so many Americans do it? People run for many reasons. Most often, people run to stay in shape and to reach an ideal body weight. Running, a rigorous cardiovascular exercise, allows a person to burn an average of 100 calories per each mile he or she runs. Other popular activities, such as biking and walking, only burn a fraction of those calories in the same amount of time. When it comes to creating a healthy running routine, the right footwear is as important as those running competitions or early morning jogs in the first place. The best running shoes are shoes that will be beneficial and gentle on your feet throughout any running exercise. The importance of wearing proper footwear while running is often times overlooked. Wearing proper shoes can prevent many injuries and save one from spending money on medical bills and years of pain. The research, writing, design and illustrations of this book were all done by myself and being a runner/prior competitive runner, I made this research book about the running shoe for anyone who loves to run, wants to know more about the footwear or just enjoys learning new things.
